Fuctions of national examinations of Tanzania (NECTA)
Listed bellow are functions of national examinations counsil of Tanzania as listed bellow
- To formulate examinations policy in according with principle of educations of self reliance and the education and training policy.
- To ensure responsibility for examination within the united republic of Tanzania and to make provision to places and centres to examinations.
- To receive from other person or bodies of persons resports or other materials affecting examination policy and from time to time.
- To consider and review examinations policy as circumstance may require.
- To co-operate within other persons or bodies of persons in the ordily development of an examinatins system in the united republic of Tanzania.
- To conduct examination for,and to grant diplomas certificates and other awards of the counsil.
- To act the body which shall facililate administers and supervise foreign examinations in Tanzania
Power and duties of national examinational counsil of Tanzania (NECTA)
- Adminster the properties of the counsil both movable and imovable
- To admister the funds and other assets of counsil.
- To signify the acts of the counsil by use the common seal
- Subject to the provisions of this act,to appoint such officers of the counsil as deem neccessary.
- To review egulations relating to examinations.
- To appoint panel or boards for examinations.
- The enter into arrangements wether reciprocal or otherwise,withi other person or organizatin wether within or outside the united repuplic,for the recognition of awards granted in respect of examinations falling within their respective responsible.
